Marinated Sirloin Steak
Ingredients :
3 lbs sirloin steak
1/3 cup medium robust EVOO (try Arbequina or Coratina)
3 cloves garlic - minced
2 Tbsp Champagne Wine Vinegar (or Champagne Balsamic for a little more sweetness)
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup honey
1 tsp black pepper
Whisk ingredients together in small bowl.
Place sirloin steak in a large resealable plastic bag
Pour the marinade into the bag and seal shut. Rub marinade around to cover all the steak
Place into a container (to protect from any leaking) and then put in refrigerator for minimum of 1 1/2 hrs - 24 hrs.
Allow meat to come to room temperature before cooking
Heat grill to medium heat and rub grates with cooking oil to keep from sticking
Place steaks on grill and cook approximately 6 minutes per side or until desired doneness is reached
While steaks are grilling, pour remaining marinade into a saucepan and bring to a boil; then reduce the heat and simmer until it thickens. Makes a great sauce for the steaks.
* Optional: Add some Pomegranate or Balsamic of your choice to marinade for a different flavored sauce.
Allow steaks to rest for five minutes before serving after removing from grill No Frills Flyer
